Jean O’Brien, WCTFCU Board Member; Stephanie Malone, scholarship recipient; Jack Cronan, WCTFCU Board Chairman, Caitlin Gorman, scholarship recipient; George MacDonald, WCTFCU President/CEO, Richard Surmanek, Linda Caesar, WCTFCU Board Member. Each year Waterbury CT Teachers Federal Credit Union of Middlebury, Connecticut awards four scholarships to high school graduates heading for college in the fall. Awards are based on a combination of scholastic achievement, extra curricular activities and an essay describing what credit union membership has meant to their family. Applications for the 2007 Scholarships will be ready for distribution in January, with an application deadline of May 1, 2007. Students who are eligible for membership, but haven't joined the credit union yet, must request a membership application and include the completed membership form when submitting their scholarship application.
